How To Use CZF Plus On Cattle
CZF Plus Footbath solution is the perfect way to aid in the treatment of, and to help keep your cattle free from, foot disease.
CZF Plus for Cattle
There are a couple of major diseases in cattle that can lead to lameness in the herd. Using CZF Plus on your cattle will help to aid in the treatment of, and prevent the following cattle diseases:
- Digital Dermatitis (DD)
- Slurry Heal
How To Prepare A CZF Plus Footbath For Cattle
First of all, know exactly how much water is going into your footbath. This is single handily the biggest mistake seen on farms, ideally measure it out. The solution needs to be 5% for cattle with a problem and can be reduced to 2-3% for maintenance footbaths.
400-500 cattle can pass through before the bath needs changing. (It doesn’t matter if the solution does a couple of days. It does not evaporate or lose its effective components).
Before using – Clean feet off best you can – (walk down the road, if straight off the field or for dairy cattle wash feet in the parlour if possible)
Run them through footbath as slowly as you can.
Leave the cattle to stand on a hard surface (5-15mins) to let the solution sink in where possible.
Ideally do this daily when Digital Dermatitis is diagnosed and reduce to 3 – 4 times a week when the challenge is reduced. You will see an improvement within a week.
Every farm is different so you’ll need to monitor your own situation.

“We have used several footbath products on our sheep flock over the years and have finally found one that works, in the form of CZF Plus. We found it worked brilliantly on scald and would recommend this to any and all sheep farmers.”
