Two words – Bloody Fantastic!
One of the Hampshire tups had CODD and was extremely lame, he had been given antibiotic injections twice. Ultimately I had to cut off the hoof shell on one cleat, I put a thick layer of CZ cream on and applied a poultice to it twice, over 5 days. I removed the poultice on day 6 and just sprayed it with antibiotic spray. It had all dried up and was healing well.
He is still slightly lame but what a difference. I would highly recommend it to anyone. Fantastic product and works quickly. He may well be able for another breeding season!
We have used several footbath products on our sheep flock over the years and have finally found one that works, in the form of CZF Plus. We found it worked brilliantly on scald and would recommend this to any and all sheep farmers.
We run a 380 herd of spring block calving, cross bred cows. In the last few years we have had an increasing problem with Digital Dermatitis (DD) and found that footbathing with straight formalin was not keeping on top of the infection.
Trevor Samways suggested we try CZF Plus and in doing so, we have seen the number of cows showing signs of DD reduce and for those infected, the severity greatly reduced. An added benefit and cost saving is not having to refill the footbath half way through milking as we did with formalin.
For us, CZF has been a cost effective and easy to use solution to keep DD under control.
Within a very short time of using CZF we have managed to completely wipe out DD in our herd. It is easy to use in an automatic footbath and we are keeping our 100% success rate and will continue to use it as it’s more cost effective, prevention is better and cheaper than a cure. The dark purple colour ensures that it can be seen on the animals and we can pick up any missed ones quickly.
