CZ Hoof Care Plus

CZ Hoof Care Plus is a disinfectant and hardener for use in footbaths. Zero formalin CZ Hoof Care Footbath product also available and is licensed by the OF&G for Organic farms.

It has been developed in collaboration with eminent podiatrists and is highly effective for the treatment of foot rot, especially in wet weather conditions.

CZ Hoof Care Plus Footbath Solution is available in 25kg, 220kg drums & 1100kg IBC.

CZ Hoof Plus for Cattle:

Sufficient for 400 animals per bath
Low dosage rates: 2 to 5%
2 treatments per week.

To reduce the challenge start at a 5% rate 3 -4 times a week and as things improve, gradually reduce the dilution rate to 4% then 3% and if all continues to go well, you can then footbath 2-3 times a week. Low dosage at 2% for maintenance only.

CZ Hoof Care Plus for Sheep and Goats:

Normally used as curative, but advisable as a preventive
Low dosage rates: 5 to 10%
More effective than just formalin
Allows up to 1,000 sheep per bath
As a preventive, 1 bath per week
With goats, use a plastic foam mat in the foot bath, to prevent the animals from seeing the liquid. Otherwise they will jump over it

Start at a 10% dilution rate for the first footbath and if no major hoof problems, reduce to no less than 4% as maintenance only. Adjust the rate depending on the conditions.

Application and Use

Apply as a 4% solution in water, twice a week, in a single pass.
As a preventive measure, in times of extended damp periods the dose can be increased to 5 -10%
Please allow animals to stand on clean, dry ground after leaving the footbath to prevent a bacterial challenge while the hooves are still soft and open
